Solenoid Valves

Solenoid valves are electromechanical devices that control the flow of fluids or gases in a system. They operate by using an electric current to generate a magnetic field, which then moves a plunger or a diaphragm to open or close the valve. Two primary types exist (direct and acting) solenoid valves and pilot-operated solenoid valves. Direct-acting solenoid valves use the magnetic field to directly move the valve’s seal, making them ideal for low-pressure systems. On the other hand, pilot-operated solenoid valves use the system’s pressure to open and close the valve, suitable for high-pressure systems.
