Pressure Control Valves

Pressure Control Valves, as the name suggests, are used primarily to manage, and regulate pressure levels within a hydraulic or fluid system. These valves are an integral part of any fluid management system, helping to maintain stability and prevent damage from pressure surges or drops. Different types of pressure control valves serve specific functions, from controlling the operation of booster pumps to regulating pressure within different sections of the system. These include Booster Pump Control Valves, Pressure Reducing Valves, Pressure Surge Anticipator Valves, and Pressure Sustaining/Relief Valves. Each of these valves provides a mechanism to ensure the system operates within safe and efficient pressure parameters, ensuring fluid flow is optimized, and system components are protected.

Application Features:

  • Pressure Regulation: Pressure control valves maintain desired pressure levels within a fluid system, enhancing the overall system stability and performance.
  • Protection of Equipment: By maintaining stable pressure levels and preventing pressure surges, these valves protect system components from damage, extending their lifespan and reducing maintenance costs.
  • Fluid Flow Management: Pressure control valves assist in optimizing fluid flow within a system by ensuring that pressures are balanced, and flow rates are appropriate.
  • Prevention of Pressure Surges (Water Hammer): Valves like Pressure Surge Anticipator valves specifically help to avoid pressure surges, protecting the system from potential damages caused by sudden changes in fluid velocity.
  • Boosting System Pressure: Booster Pump Control valves play a crucial role in boosting the system’s pressure when needed, enhancing system efficiency.
  • Versatility: With a variety of types designed to handle specific applications, pressure control valves offer versatility in fluid management systems, ensuring that different pressure control needs are adequately met.
  • Simplification of System Design: The use of multiport valves in some cases can simplify the overall design of the fluid system, replacing the need for multiple straightway valves and other fittings, and providing operational convenience.
