By using an L/C resonant oscillator the Inductive proximity sensor generates, with the aid of a coil located in the open pot core, a high frequency alternating electromagnetic field. An induced eddy current occurs when an electrically conductive material moves into the electromagnetic field. The oscillation amplitude is reduced by the eddy current by extracting energy from the L/C resonant circuit in the switch. The original unswitched state will be recreated when the electrically conductive material is removed. 3-Pin or 4-Pin Connector plug outlines are an option with M12 Connectors with AC or DC.
