Karma Instrumentation and Control offers a flow sensor for liquids and gases (ASW 454 and SWF 62) which works according to the calorimetric principle.
The thermistor is heated and as the flow changes, the thermistor resistance alters. The resistance also depends on the temperature of the medium and thus, the difference between the thermistors is measured. It is advisable to use the sensor in clean water applications to ensure accurate readings.
The Din Rail Mount ASW 454 has both rough and fine settings to set sensitivity on flow rates and is connected to the SWF 62 S/S Sensor which is inserted directly into the pipe.
