Capillaries are thin tubes made of stainless steel that are used to protect measuring instruments from damage or accuracy degradation when exposed to high process temperatures, pressure spikes, or other design specifications. They are designed for use in challenging applications in the process market, including oil and gas, refineries, chemical and petrochemical, water and wastewater, and power plants, as well as oil and gas fracking and biogas and biodiesel applications. The slow heat transfer rate and dead-ended process fluid further protect the measuring instrument, making capillary lines a good product solution for challenging applications.
